Technology equipment and networking capacity

The Rockaway Township Network currently is made up of 13 servers and approximately 750 on-line computers.  The district is set up in a hub and spoke configuration.  Our district's Central Office is the hub and each of our schools is a spoke.  All schools are part of our Wide Area Network and are connected by way of high speed T-1 / ATM lines.  All schools now have distance-learning capabilities.  Each of our five elementary schools has a fully equipped computer lab with each lab PC having access to the Internet and network shared files.  The middle school has three fully equipped computer labs with over 30 PC's per lab and a color and black and white laser printer in each lab.  In addition cluster rooms of 15 networked PC's have been installed throughout the building.  At this point there are six cluster rooms at Copeland Middle School.  Every classroom at our middle school has been fully wired with six telecommunication ports and appropriate electrical connections to support our future technology needs.  In addition every classroom at Copeland and throughout the district has at least one PC in it with full Internet access.
